The Farm Saglietti is located in La Morra , one of the most suited to the cultivation of the vine.
La Morra stands on an imposing promontory from which you can see on one side the Po Valley and the other the magnificent amphitheater formed by the vine-clad hills of the Langhe.
La Morra lies , to a few square kilometers , on a magnificent plateau from which gets the impression of dominating the territory , being able to enjoy the look with almost 360 degrees of magnificent views. On a clear day you can see, to the east , the outline of the hills , follow it to where it seems to be confused , to the south , with the traits of the Alps rising and follow the mountain range, where the eye is caught by a majestic Monviso , to West dominates the nascent Po Valley to the north until the tip of the Monte Rosa gives the pose at the headland of the capital. This plateau is the Bricco del Dente , and that is where we can find the Azienda Agricola Saglietti .
Ours is a farm family-run mixed , as in the tradition of this area, which supports the cultivation of the vineyard, which occupies about 5 ha of the 13 total , the production of fruit and nuts, while on the remaining surface , yet suited to the system of the vine, we plan to implement in the near future new plants.
We grow , for now, only grape varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo , from which we get : Dolcetto d'Alba DOC , Barbera d'Alba DOC , Nebbiolo Langhe Doc and Barolo. Any working in the vineyards is made for to enhance the quality of the wines : short pruning and spacing of inerbimemento , in favor of the birth and growth of native flora that contributes to the enrichment of natural organic matter in soils and mineral thus allowing ' fertilization more rational and balanced .
